南寮步道簡介Brief Introduction of Nanliao Trail
南寮步道位於龍井區竹坑里,是清朝先民自南寮經鯉魚山至大肚山開墾以及竹坑往返的重要道路,後來將這條古道改建為登山步道,成為台中居民休閒健行的景點

路線簡介Brief Introduction of Route
南寮步道往返3小時,往返距離5.1公里,高度落差184公尺
It takes 3 hours to go and forth for 5.1 kilometer by Nanliao Trail hiking route. The difference of elevation is 184 meters

這次帶大家來到龍井南寮步道
南寮步道位於龍井區竹坑里
是清朝先民自南寮經鯉魚山至大肚山開墾
以及竹坑往返的重要道路
後來將這條古道改建為登山步道
成為台中居民休閒健行的景點
步道長度約3公里
就讓行者帶著大家一起健行去吧

相傳有一大一小二條鯉魚盤踞山谷
大鯉魚是朝山的
小鯉魚是朝江海的
結果有一陣豪大雨來之後呢
就把小鯉魚衝到海裡面去了
只剩大鯉魚還存在這邊
所以這個就是我們傳說
這個突起的山丘就是鯉魚山

Legend has it that two carps one large and one small
The large carp was pointed up the Mt.
the small one west toward the sea
Then torrential rains flooded
the water washed the small carp to the sea
the large carp was left alone
the local people have named the projecting hill"Carp Mt."

這條步道很適合親子遊
在炎熱夏天的傍晚來走
吹著海風特別涼爽
比起一些低海拔的郊山整路在森林內行走
蚊蟲多汗濕背衫令人煩躁不已等情事
在這條一望無際的草原步道
是完全不會有這種情況的
很適合帶著一家大小
來趟輕鬆的小旅行啊

南寮步道沿途風光明媚
步行人數不少
步道頭尾的停車場都有廁所
可供遊客使用
每100公尺都設有指示牌
不怕迷路之外
對於每個景點都有詳細介紹
真的是一條很棒的步道
觀海平台更是讓人流連忘返
看著夕陽
望著海景
是一條不可多得的好步道啊
